Had a lovely time in Parnell Village. So much to see. These friends were actually reading the plaque in front of the bronze statue, but it looks as though they are lost (that came later) and asking directions…

the world’s pain
We were lucky enough to visit the Whanganui Glass-works and see some beautiful work. The one shown in the photo is by Carmen Simmonds I think. I was fascinated by all the different facets that showed whenever you slightly altered position, and the underwater effect from the bubbles in the glass.
