BE ENCOURAGED
A word from a dear old man of God…
In Numbers 20:24 we have one of the lovely pictures that the Bible uses when it speaks of the death of believers. Unlike the New Testament, in which we read that believers ‘fall asleep’, or are ‘taken to Abraham’s side’, here, as elsewhere in the Old Testament, Aaron is ‘gathered to his people’. [The same is said of Abraham, aged 175 years, in Genesis 25:8.] What a beautiful picture! The Christian’s ultimate family is the people of God. These people are our brothers and sisters, some of whom are found on earth, others already in glory. The longer we live, the more we will find that we know more of the family in heaven than here! Death will not separate us from our family, but gather us to them. We will be with Christ and with them! Be encouraged.

DANGER IN PARADISE…
LITTLE THINGS
Clouds were threatening on our walk this morning, so a shorter one than usual, but I love the diversity of plants and architecture in this place, not to mention a wonderful children’s playground that we often pass.
