on these steep hills

I never tire of driving through these beautiful hills – different every time…
Been a funny old week – storms, travel, meetings and missed meetings – the best laid plans… We left for Auckland last Monday to spend some time with friends, and also to call in on our daughter in the Bay of Plenty on the way home. We left early in the morning and drove through the Paraparas in fog and mist. Spectacular.

So much happened, and so many photos. I’ll share the journey with you in my next posts. Thought that last photo was appropriate for Easter…
Been on the road a lot lately, and glad to be home, if only temporarily. We had a soggy mid-winter trek down towards the Parapara Mountain Range, and then on to Wanganui. Got some good shots of the countryside on the way, but I’ll just start at the beginning, then take you with us through to Wanganui.
