Well, the day looked up in the afternoon. I put together a Sunday-school lesson and went out to pick some peas (They’re the only thing we’ve been still watering during this drought). Then I noticed. There were a Californian Quail family dust-bathing and scratching for seed behind the garden shed. Little balls of feathers. So I tip-toed inside and got the camera. The thing I really noticed from the photos is the wonderful way they are camouflaged. In some of the photos you might be challenged to find them. So lovely. Hope they stay away from the neighbour’s cats. I’ve just cooked up some peaches to freeze. Whoever prayed for me – thanks.
