Summer is here at last, Rod is painting the front porch, and I have been pruning the Mandarin tree – and this morning we walked again by the river…

into the mist
I decided to get a photo of our lovely new harbour bridge while we were in Whangarei, and fluked it opening up to let a yacht through. Marvelous… This bridge over the lower Hatea River is called Te Matau ā Pohe (The fish-hook of Pohe) – for obvious reasons.
