DIVISIONS

Quadrille for D’verse poets

and here
let’s kick aside
the fences that div-
ide us

and let the air blow
freely through our leaves
scent of roses
for joy
and not for grief-laden
misery of motherless
children
battered by the winds

forest fires of hatred
fanned by fear

  1. i think it is more than fear and hatred that divides.
it is perpetuated by those that take without giving – so greed,
and I would say class systems…and even the informal uppity-ness
and…ignorance, which seems to be viral.

I like the visual way you accentuated the div-ide.
