for thus says the Lord

I will extend prosperity to her
like a river
and the wealth of the nations
like an over-flowing stream

as a mother comforts her children
so I will comfort you
and you will see
your bodies will flourish like grass

the earth waits, trembling
for the day of the Lord
for the sound of the trumpet
heralding peace

and in that day
all tears will be dried
see, I make all things new

  1. Hi Maureen….I see you have read and liked poems on my blog but I haven’t a comment from you yet. But that’s ok because that doesn’t stop me from visiting and commenting on other blogs. I got curious about yours this morning and I am glad I did A lovely biblical quote this morning to read. I am glad I came. Your faith is obviously strong, mine not, but it was good to read this right now.
