SINKING INTO SUMMER

Summer is finally living up to its promise, and so many small things to bring joy to our morning walks.  Cacti flowers reaching to the wisps of cotton-wool clouds, driftwood admiring its own reflection in the river, and the brightness of sunlight through the leaves of a tree.

  1. You came to mind last evening when I was slicing a blood orange to put into my wine: said it was from New Zealand . . . And so was the Sauvignon Blanc – from the Marlboro district . . .
