  1. Beautifully written. This reminds me of my late grandmother who never forgot about her first love. They both married someone else, my grandmother divorced, her first love was married for many years before his wife passed away. When they were both in their mid-eighties they met each other again for the first time in a retirement home. The old romance was still there, there would be a rose on her breakfast plate each morning, she would feel the butterflies, and they had a whirlwind few years together before he passed away.
