  1. Makes me feel like I’m right here at home in Washington State . . . We must have seen 200 logging trucks last week hauling burnt timber out of the forests in the central part of the state. The fires, bad as they were, only burn into the bark of the big trees about an inch & a quarter – the wood beneath is pine white if they are pines, or rich rust red if they are Douglas firs . . . Amazing . . . I like your pictures!
