SHUU RIN Autumn rain

an autumn haibun

Sodden rainbows of autumn leaves are blocking the drains, causing rain to run in rivulets down the drive.  I gather the leaves into heaps, and watch as the water escapes in bursts into the pipes.  Downstream, a blackbird harvests worms.

  1. You had me at rainbows, but kept me with night music and the image of rain singing. Beautiful, musical — whimsical and real at the same time. Lovely – thanks for sharing.
