BIRD WALK

we go walking
Rod, me, and the dog
but sometimes I’m stopped
while they keep walking
so my walk is often made up
of little bursts of running

we go walking
Rod, me, and the dog
but sometimes the dog
just has to stop
and read the local news
so I don’t have to run
to catch them

Caught up with some birds on our walk this morning – Californian Quails, and then a Pied Stilt and some tiny finches.  Think I’m going to ask for a bigger zoom for Christmas…

The finches are so tiny, and so fast it makes them hard to capture with my camera.  He’s eating seeds here…  Four photographs

  1. These are good shots. I know just what you are going through when there is a little thing moving around while you’re trying to take a photo. It happens to me all the time! I hope you get a bigger zoom – that would be so much fun.

And your poem is just too funny. I can picture the short bursts of running.
