A WALK IN THE COUNTRY

Just a glimpse of early spring along my walk a couple of days ago.

Trees are still bare, but daffodils and jonquils have begun to flower.

The river is up and looking good,

and this morning there was 61mm of rain in the gauge. I haven’t ventured out yet today as the skies are still low and grey and the house is warm.  Maybe it’ll clear a bit later and I’ll be able to take Bert for his walk – although he doesn’t look particularly energetic at the moment…
