cling to crumbling cliffs
I love the gnarled Pohutakawa trees…
We had a lovely, quiet time in the caravan at Waipu Cove. The camp we were at abuts a nature reserve and a wonderful long beach. We also visited the Estuary where there is a wetlands and bird breeding habitat. Although the weather was fine, there was a cold wind. I managed to get some reasonable shots of some of the sea and wading birds there with my little point and shoot on maximum zoom. I’m posting a couple of shots of the Estuary and some of the pied shags near the river bar. Lots of other bird photos to follow…including Dotterels and Herons. Click on any photo to enlarge.
