Artist. Scavenging the skips of London looking for abandoned treasures to resuscitate. Part womble, part emergency service..... No healthy books or clothes are ever harmed in the process.
Good photo. We like to go out to the airport perimeter and watch the planes come and go. I am always amazed at the many people out there with sophisticated camera equipment; plane spotters, I suppose.
I know Phil’s equipment isn’t very sophisticated, but he’s great at capturing the moment.
Great photo. We had an old plane with a propeller on its nose buzzing about here today. Perhaps it had been at the Wings over Wairarapa event. It has such a different sound to the modern planes.
Wonder if it was a Havard
It could well have been a Harvard. I have seen and heard it around here for a few months now. Perhaps one has been restored at Paraparaumu or Masterton aerodromes?
I think there are still quite a few Harvards flying in New Zealand Kiwiskan http://www.kiwis-soar.com
I will try and get a better look at it next time it flies over.
Wow, good photo of 757 . Did you enjoy the show? I did!
I’m afraid those photos of the Wings over Wairarapa were taken by my son – and I know he had a great time. Next time I will be there! Phil takes some great photos.
Yes he is.I tried but my camera isn’t that good at flying objects – I think it is me that is to slow for the movement!
By the way, I love your gravatar
Thanks. It is a Schnauzer dog “doll” My son gave it to me when I came to visit here in 2006
